Legal Help

The Law Foundation of Ontario does not provide legal advice.

If you are looking for legal help, we recommend that you contact the Law Society Referral Service (LSRS) at 1-800-268-8326 or 416-947-3330 (within the GTA). When you call the LSRS, they will provide you with the name of a lawyer or licensed paralegal who will provide a free consultation of up to 30 minutes to help you determine your rights and options.

  •  Your Legal Rights is a website funded by the Foundation which offers Public Legal Education and Self Help Resources and links by legal topic.
  • Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) provides services for low income people. If LAO cannot help, they will refer you somewhere that can.
