The Debt Repayment Assistance Program (D–RAP)

The Debt Repayment Assistance Program was developed as a collaborative, five-year initiative, to run from 2007 – 2012, between the LFO and all the Ontario law schools. Each year, D–RAP will offer six qualified graduates who are pursuing careers in public interest law, annual financial assistance for a three–year period for meeting their educational debt repayment obligations. By providing financial assistance to graduates who make a commitment to careers in public interest law, it is hoped the program will enable and encourage them to follow career paths in less well-remunerated public interest and law practice areas.
